Caboose and Co began in 2017 creating a revolutionary solution to events accommodation. We provide luxury temporary accommodation housed within shipping containers. Our Pop-Up Container hotels have accommodated thousands of people at events across the county and abroad, including: The Ryder Cup in Paris, Moto GP at Silverstone and the Cheltenham Festival.

We are looking for a hard-working, ambitious, well organised and enthusiastic events assistant to join our dynamic team. The role requires somebody with a strong work ethic who can manage numerous projects at any one time and perform well under pressure.

Key responsibilities

  • Supporting colleagues on all aspects of project co-ordination, event organisation, delivery and management
    – Managing general event admin throughout the year
    – Updating the events calendar
  • Support with the pre-event and on-site delivery and management of events throughout the year
  • Manage the onsite procedures for the event
    – Reception admin/check in/out duties
    – Dealing with clients and the public when assisting at events, answering questions for customers, leaving every customer on a positive note
    – Managing cleaning/linen supplies
  • Liaising with suppliers
    – Organising and sourcing on site suppliers
  • Budget support
    – Helping to project budgets for the year, keeping an inventory of stock and budgeting replacements as required

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Essential

  • A willingness to undertake travel throughout the UK and worldwide, where necessary
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Excellent planning, presentation, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Have a positive approach, confident using your own initiative and excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent ICT skills

Desirable

  • Previous experience in the events sector
  • Basic photography skills
  • Knowledge and experience using Office 365 and SharePoint
  • Have the ability to fix basic maintenance problems on site
